Gerald Eldering
The MITRE Corporation

Gerard Eldering is the Director of the Technology Transfer Office at the MITRE Corporation. He is responsible for the management of the company's Intellectual Property portfolio, licensing activities and corporate investments in Technology Transfer. MITRE has more than 50 patents and generates intellectual property from it's government funded work program and $35 million IR&D Program.

From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Eldering served in various analysis and management positions in MITRE's Center for Advanced Aviation Research and Development (CAASD). He led the business planning team for the SkySource aviation joint venture, and subsequently served as the Director of Marketing for the venture.

Prior to joining MITRE Mr. Eldering worked as a consultant assisting small technology and retail businesses in strategic and business plan development. From 1987 to 1994 he served as an officer and helicopter instructor pilot in the U.S. Air Force where he flew for the prestigious First Helicopter Squadron at Andrew's Air Force Base.

In addition to receiving an MBA from the University of Maryland, Mr. Eldering holds a bachelors of arts in physics from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
