The Patuxent Partnership
Martin Fairclough is the founder and currently Executive Director of The Patuxent Partnership, which is a not-for-profit technology-led economic development consortium. Promoting the diversification of technology-based industry in Southern Maryland, The Partnership supports the transfer, capitalization and business development of military advancements in technology and assists members to market and sell innovative commercial technologies for military and commercial applications.
Mr. Fairclough was educated as a Chemical Engineer at the University of London and worked for a number of years as a senior executive in the Advanced Materials industry. He has an accomplished track record as a business development expert in the private, not-for-profit, state and federal arenas with a depth of experience in the fields of technology-led economic development, technology transfer, finance and communications. He is a recognized expert in horizontal integration among programs, projects and platforms and was a key leader in developing the innovative technology transfer program known as NAVAIR Technology Commercialization Initiative (NTCI) which has received additional funding in the FY04 federal budget.
